Conya Doss - Affirmations

A voice that has weathered personal transitions and global travels ultimately finds the perfect words to mark a decade of excellence. Affirmations, the tenth solo project by Conya Doss, published on September 15, 2025, under the label Not On Label, is more than just a collection of songs; it is a monument to soulful resilience.

Lift Me Up: A powerful opening to ten years of activity

The album opens immediately with 'Lift Me Up', a track that not only serves as an introduction but also definitively closes the tenth chapter of a career built on consistency. This triumphant opening sets the stage for a project conceived as a deep reflection, enveloping the listener in pure soul groove. Far from fleeting commercial formulas, this first track establishes an atmosphere where the mood becomes the main character, announcing an introspective journey that will explore personal transitions with rare clarity.

Affirmations...: The introspective closing of the project

To conclude this ten-year cycle of musical activity, the album ends with "Affirmations...", a track that functions as an inevitable conclusion to the cycle that began with "Lift Me Up." This closing track doesn't just close the door; it offers a final introspection that summarizes the very essence of the project. The final track, number 17 on the official list, seals a disc where each title has its place within this rigorous narrative structure. The album concludes on a note of self-affirmation, marking the end of a complete cycle that has allowed Conya Doss to establish her status as one of the leading female Soul singers over the past twenty years.

Ten years of soulful music: the legacy of a decade

Beyond the individual tracks, Affirmations represents a major step in the continuity of Conya Doss's work. Between the first album released in 2004 and this one, published without a specific label (Not On Label), the artist has built a solid legacy that includes notable works such as Still…, Blu Transition, and Seven: VII. This return in 2025 does not challenge the past but confirms a natural evolution towards a decade of soulful excellence. The album illustrates why she has established herself as one of the central figures in the genre, offering a project that is both a culmination of her past experiences and a promise for the future.
