Genezio - BOUNCE MUSIC : SAISON 2

By Le Stagiaire·

Four voices respond to one another in a constrained sonic space across eight tracks, as if the total duration of nineteen minutes and twenty-four seconds were there to constrain every exchange. Bounce Music: Season 2 is not an accumulation, but a sequence where dialogue is the raw material. The series "Bounce Music," launched in October 2024, fits into this continuity, and while the label Low Wood ensures its administrative footprint, the album defines itself by its circular structure: an opening pact with Big Boss that announces the tone of the season, an architecture framed by the features of MHD, Ronisia, Tiakola, and La Mano 1.9, and solo tracks that anchor Genezio at the center of his own trajectory.

The opening pact with Big Boss

The album opens with Big Boss, a track that sets the tone without verified sources yet defining production. This track serves not only as a teaser but also establishes a pact between the artist and his audience for the second season of the project. The opening is an act of staging: one steps into a series whose continuity is assumed, without sound being dictated by production credits yet.

The heart of the album: collaborations that anchor the trajectory

At the heart of the project, four featured tracks structure the album like a mosaic portrait. On track 2, I Wish, MHD steps in to complement an already established voice seeking its own identity, and on track 4, Sale, Ronisia adds her timbre to bolster the vocal balance on the record; she doesn't just add herself, but complements Genezio on a track where voices harmonize without production credits. Track 6, La mélo est dans la bounce, invites Tiakola to take over a role that had already been reversed several months earlier: in May 2024, it was Genezio who was invited by Tiakola on "Pona Nini" for the album BDLM Vol. 1. Here, the power dynamic shifts and the collaboration becomes pivotal between local anchoring and an opening toward broader sounds. Finally, track 8, El Gemano, closes out the record with La Mano 1.9 signing his presence on the final track, sealing the album on a note of openness toward the future, marking assumed continuity with the first installment of the series.

Solo tracks: counterpoint and identity at the center of the project

Among the collaborations, two tracks without featuring—Don't Play (track 5) and Cherry (track 7)—serve as a counterpoint to affirm Genezio's solo identity. These tracks anchor the artist's voice at the center of a project where every collaboration is a fully realized character, but also a necessary interlude in a journey that doesn't end here. Bounce Music: Saison 2 presents itself as an eight-track studio album, a concise duration that transforms each collaboration into a distinct character and each solo track into a required counterpoint. The production remains in the shadows; credits are absent from verified sources, and it is precisely this absence that forces the album to build its identity around the voices.
