From what I had, the best I could: the starting point of a first studio album

Life hasn't really been a long, quiet river for Lesram, and perhaps it's this tension between the fragility of circumstances and the strength of the writing that animates Du peu que j'ai eu, du mieux que j'ai pu. Released on January 19, 2024, on the Blue Sky label, this first studio album from the artist doesn't present itself as a noisy manifesto or a spectacular rupture. Instead, it establishes itself as an intimate archive, where each song serves to trace the contours of an existence traversed by loneliness and resourcefulness. Twelve songs make up this record, with a total duration of 33 minutes and 57 seconds. The structure is deliberately stripped down: the album opens with Du peu que j'ai eu, a track that immediately sets the tone for the project, before closing on Du mieux que j'ai pu. This first studio album constitutes the first step in a discography already marked by an upward trajectory.

100X feat. PLK and Triste mélancolie feat. Josman: the collaborations that open the way

If the album is built largely around a solitary narrative, two features punctuate this introspection with an assumed collective presence. On 100X, PLK appears on track 5 of the record. On Triste mélancolie, Josman shares track 9 with Lesram. This notable collaboration anchors the album in a darker and more melodic vein, emphasizing that the project is not intended as a monologue but rather an encounter of different sensibilities. These two strategic collaborations allow the artist to expand his sonic universe without losing its narrative coherence.

Uniform mastering by Alex Gopher: sonic consistency despite multiple producers

Beyond the names that appear in the credits, it is an invisible hand that ensures the overall cohesion of the album. The mastering was entrusted to Alex Gopher for all twelve tracks, guaranteeing that each song, whether produced by Elyo, Mehsah, 2K, or Tarik Azzouz, blends into a single sonic universe. Marti Mix handles mixing on several key tracks, while DJ Elite also makes a notable contribution to others. This technical uniformity allows the album to function as a continuous suite despite the diversity of producers involved: Asieux, Junior Alaprod, Myster, or Boumijal each bring their own distinct mark, but it is the mastering that weaves them together with a unifying thread. There are notable exceptions, such as on QB, where Vincent Audou signs the mixing, adding a slight variation to the overall texture of the album.

The Best I Could Do: A Review of a First Chapter

The album revolves around production with multiple signatures: Elyo handles track 1, Mehsah does track 2, and Tarik Azzouz takes care of track 4, while Boumidjal (Boumijal) features on track 10. Track 3 is produced by 2K, who also returns for track 6 titled Mac Nulty. Asieux produces the collaborative track with PLK, and Myster handles production of Triste mélancolie alongside Josman. Junior Alaprod signs off on track 7, En mode, while Vincent Audou mixes QB, a notable exception in an album where Alex Gopher performs mastering on all twelve tracks and Marti Mix steps in for several key tracks like the first or last one. DJ Elite is also present on the mixing of multiple tracks, particularly those produced by Asieux, Junior Alaprod, and Myster. The album's structure rests on an alternation between personal introspection and occasional sonic exchanges. Tracks like Bernabeu, Aperçu, or Histoire du quartier contribute to this narrative without featuring, while collaborations with PLK and Josman punctuate the journey of an artist who transforms little into much. This first studio album from Lesram, released on Blue Sky label, lays the foundations for a career already well underway, preceding his second studio album, Malvado, which came out in 2025. Between opening and closing, the twelve tracks form a journey that doesn't seek to impress through constant ruptures but rather through an accumulation of personal details. Du peu que j'ai eu, du mieux que j'ai pu positions itself as an album where the rapper tells his everyday life without flourish, balancing lucidity and distance. It is an ambitious project laying the foundations for a career already well underway, preceding his second studio album, Malvado, which came out in 2025. It is a work that does not promise to revolutionize the French scene but offers attentive listening to the interiority of an artist who has learned to transform little into much.
