Lujipeka - BRÛLER PARIS

Editorial note8,0/ 10
By Le Stagiaire·

Brûler Paris, the title itself, evokes destruction and purification by fire. It is this very idea that Lujipeka seems to have carried within him during these four years of absence, like a secret to reveal, a past to incinerate in order to be reborn better. Released on October 3, 2025, this second solo album from the former member of the group Columbine fits into a fragile artistic continuity, between rupture and revelation.

The intimacy of an album with no known faces

It is a deliberate choice that reinforces the feeling of deep introspection, of an artist seeking truth without filters or compromises. Each track seems to be a broken mirror, reflecting fragments of self that Lujipeka did not hesitate to expose. This silence around the production, this absence of vocal collaborations, becomes a strength: the album breathes as if it were woven alone, by the voice and words of its author.

Four years of silence, a return in flames

Four years after Montagnes Russes, Lujipeka returns to the forefront of the scene. Time has had the leisure to erase illusions, to dig fissures into the fragile balance between dream and reality. Brûler Paris is therefore a return in flames: not a triumphant rebirth, but a questioning, a willingness to burn what no longer serves to make room for something new. The album presents itself as testimony of an artistic transformation, where disillusionments are as much wounds as lessons.

"Burning Paris": Fire as a Symbol of Transformation

The track that gives the album its name is without doubt the most symbolic one. It embodies the central metaphor of the record: burning to purify, to rebuild. The song seems to unfold like a prayer, an appeal to inner fire, to this necessary destruction that precedes any rebirth. The lyrics are heavy with tension, with words intertwining between regret and hope. Lujipeka isn't trying to convince; he's telling a story, with almost painful lucidity.

"Big Music": Between Dream and Disappointment

The track is a mix of melancholy and rage, where the lyrics chain together like blows struck at an idealized image. It's a song that resonates like a cry, a call for authenticity in a world where music is often reduced to a spectacle.

"Antonio's View": The Illusion of Gaze

Lujipeka questions the illusions linked to recognition, to the gaze of others, to this quest for approval that can sometimes distort the true self. The song is a mirror held up to the artist himself, an invitation to look at himself without a mask, to accept his flaws and contradictions.

Brûler Paris is not an album of redemption or a record of triumph. It is testimony to an inner transformation, by an artist who chose to burn his past in order to rebuild himself better. The absence of producers and featuring artists did not prevent the album from rising; on the contrary, it gave it rare density, almost sacred intimacy. This record is a return by flames, but also a promise: that of a Lujipeka who, after having burned everything, rises stronger, clearer, closer to the truth he has always sought.
