Olympia Vitalis - December Sunshine

December Sunshine: A Retro-Modernized Homage to Marlena Shaw

The heartbeat of this production rests on a solid and precise historical anchor. The collaboration was built using Marlena Shaw's album "The Spice Of Life" as an absolute reference point. Under the direction of Common Saints, aka Charlie J Perry, a renowned producer in the soul and alternative R&B scenes, the track reactualizes genre standards to define a warm yet modern alt-soul aesthetic. The production does not merely imitate the past; it dialogues with it, honoring the arrangements while infusing them with the raw energy gained from previous festivals. It is here that Common Saints establishes its mark: guaranteeing a high standard of quality that transforms a classic reference into a living and current soundscape.

Olympia Vitalis and Common Saints solidify their live image

The singer crystallizes her festival heritage in an intimate dialogue with Marlena Shaw's standard, creating a tension between the studio's intimacy and the power of large venues. It is this consolidation of her live image that gives the track its particular dimension: it is not merely a recorded song, but the sonic trace of an artist expanding on the international stage.

Un solo performance at Olympia Vitalis without collaborative filter

In a musical landscape often saturated with collaborations, this single stands out for its solo vocal integrity. This absence is not a gap but an artistic strength: it places the entire expressive burden solely on Olympia Vitalis.

A 2 min 37 s pivot single to seal an alt-soul legacy

The concise duration of the track is a deliberate stylistic signature. In just 2 min 37 s, December Sunshine manages to seal a complete alt-soul legacy without ever diluting its impact. This pivot single does not aim for narrative length but emotional immediacy, offering a perfect loop for post-festival listening or as background music for a winter evening. It is an autonomous track that defines Olympia Vitalis in 2026: an artist capable of transforming a classic reference like "The Spice Of Life" into a contemporary and vibrant object without ever betraying its essence. It is a sober, dense work perfectly calibrated to mark minds on the trajectory of a singer who knows where she wants to go.
